Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix discovered early that she had an aptitude to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed 2nd in the 200 meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. Then she went to at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200-meter race at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal the following year, defeating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top 3 throughout her events during the Olympics which took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
