Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix placed second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an agreement to Adidas. In the year 2004, she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for running 200m. In 2007, she won the title against her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes in each of her events.
